Write a 350- to 700-word pitch to either a movie or television producer. Include an analysis discussing how current popular entertainment trends do or do not reflect American cultural values and their influence on social behavior as well.

Assignment 2 Music Through History

To complete this assignment, you must choose a listening selection from Section 1: Basic Musical Concepts (any of the classes from “Unity and Variety” up to and including “Folk Music, Art Music, and All That Jazz”) and write a two-paragraph summary.

Week3 Assignment Special Education Reform Essay

Using the GCU Library, locate five scholarly articles on changes and/or reforms in special education during the past 100 years.

Review the Topic 3 Lecture for a description of what is considered a scholarly article.

 

In a 750-1,000-word essay, compare and contrast the three most significant positive and negative changes in special education. Discuss the changes/reforms you think still need to be made.

Open the worksheet that you worked on earlier in the week. Then, complete the second table, address the following:

 

In the first column, identify creators from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries who you think made important contributions to art and culture in the form of humanities artifacts that impacted society.

 

Identify one of the artifacts they created (in the second column) and the medium of the artifact (in the third column). Recall from Fundamentals of Human Culture that mediums can include dance, literature, sculpture, visual arts, architecture, music, performance, and so forth. Then, explain why you believe the creator felt the need to express their ideas (in the fourth column).
